The Shanghai Commie posters are no longer at Mission Chinese Food as Danny Bowien and Anthony Myint just finished re-wallpapering the entire inside for a more minimalist look. A full kitchen revamp is also underway. Even more interesting: the kickstarter fundraiser they just started so they can buy a 60-foot, 9-person Chinese dragon to hang from the ceiling chandelier-style. There’s one little catch. It’s in Beijing right now, making transport to SF quite the costly endeavor. But it’ll be just the thing to dramatize the top secret menu changes coming to MCF in the next few weeks.
